The Rayne Has Come!
Wow what a day! We showed up at the hospital around 5am for the C- Section. There was a bit of a delay as our Dr.(Dr. Coe) had a late delivery the night B4. After Kims prep, the procedure started around 8:45am ( I promptly started Kims Special CD- Bob Marley -Three little Birds) and the staff was happy to have some good tunes playing. Dr. Coe was great at keeping things calm and at 9:07am Baby Tyler Rayne Archuleta was carefully delivered. Just to make the moment perfect - Perfect Day By Duran Duran was playing and he was just beautiful. A perfect little round head and shape. He was 19.75 inches and 6.7lbs. Much smaller than Noah ( who weighed 9.15 lbs) but Noah was delivered at 41 weeks.
Moments after his delivery it was clear that Rayne was struggling a bit so they took him to the NICU for some extra care. They explained that he a a small amount of fluid still in his lungs (very typical of a C-Section) and that it would take a bit of Oxygen to get him to "adjust". They put an oxygen hood over his head and he quickly began to show that "Archuleta" fight by removing the hood with his little hands. After a few hours he was doing fantastic and we expect him to be home soon.
Here are a few Pics of his first couple of days!

What? It's a boy?
Well here proof... Dr.'s sometimes get it wrong. After the first doc told us it was a girl, we went into a special clinic just to make sure
Here's the proof!

Noah's 4th Birthday
What a day! How has it been four years? It just blows me away. Noah had about 12 of his friends from the neighborhood over and they had a blast. We set up a music room and let all the kids bang around on the kids Drum Kit (www.musicianshut.com) and kids guitars. They had a blast. Needless to say the house was a rockin. I think his favorite gift was his Lightnin McQueen AFX track. He kept breaking the cars but I could see the excitment in his eyes. Man I miss being 4! Off to Disney world this week! Should be a blast.

Noah - the new Karate Kid
Noah - Although the smallest kid in the class was not to be outdone - Sinsay tied him back to back with another kid twice his size. He had no clue as to the objective - each would run in opposite directions and see whom could overpower whom. Well, you guessed it - the big kid ran and Noah was on his butt in two seconds flat! I causght his eye and he was pissed - with ferver he rose to his feet, leaned forward and began to claw his way to the opposite wall - the crowd (10 or so soccer moms) began to cheer at this David and Goliath struggle - Noah's eyes said "hell no - not today buster" and he muscled his way to triumph - I was very proud dad!
